to Washington, D.C. to attend the Take Back
America conference and other events. We
came away with a unique perspective on which progressive leaders
(and media) are for real, and which ones are part of the problem.
From the wisdom and courage of Congressman Bernie Sanders to the
misleading rhetoric of Hillary Clinton, the camera doesn't lie.

The
Quinn Report (commentary)
The
Last Liberal in BOOTSWALLOW
GULCH
The word "liberal"
has been villainized by the right for decads, but as Kevan Quinn
points out, once you get past hating the word, you find that most
Americans actually think like liberals. Liberals, he says, are generous,
optimistic Americans--wrongly portrayed by the angry, perpetually
miserable white men who dominate a.m. radio and Fox News.
To make his
point, Kevan invites us on a little fieldtrip to a town called "Bootswallow
Gulch," where the liberal sheriff has just died. That's reason
for celebration among some of the local hooligans, but they soon
learn that the new, right-wing Sheriff, with his corporate connection
to big railroad money, is not the replacement they had in mind.
